KREWE was founded in New Orleans in 2013 by Stirling Barrett, a photographer who wanted to build a fashion brand in a city better known for its music and food. The name comes from the krewes, the social clubs that bring Mardi Gras to life.

That spirit of celebration runs through every collection: color, personality and a little bit of flair.

Most KREWE shoppers buy online and settle for plain lenses. We do it differently. Our lens maker, Cory, measures you in the frame you choose and cuts ZEISS lenses to fit it in our lab here in Kailua, including polarized prescription sun lenses built for Hawaii light.

Can KREWE sunglasses be made in my prescription?

Yes. We fit most KREWE sunglasses with ZEISS prescription sun lenses, polarized if you like.

Why buy KREWE from you instead of online?

Shopping KREWE with us means you can try frames on in person to find the right style and fit, then have them professionally adjusted just for you. For prescription eyewear, we pair your KREWE frame with custom ZEISS lenses made to your exact prescription and measurements. Our KREWE frames are priced at essentially the same MSRP you’ll find online, you’re still eligible for KREWE’s Second Chances program, and if you love a frame but want a different color, we can often order other colorways for you.

Do you adjust KREWE frames?

Yes. We fine tune the fit when you pick them up and any time after.

Do I need an eye exam first?

Bring a current prescription, or book a full hour eye exam with Dr. Mordue and choose your frames the same visit.
