Parking Guide

Parking is free — but there are a few things worth knowing before you pull in.

Free Parking
Parking is free at Lau Hala Shops. The main lot is located behind the building. There's also a garage near Longs Drugs if the main lot is full.
3-Hour Limit
Parking is limited to three hours and is strictly enforced. Please keep an eye on your time, especially if you have a longer appointment or plan to shop around.
Curbside Pickup
There are a few curbside pickup stalls directly in front of our store. These are great for quick frame or contact lens pickups without circling the lot.
Thursday Farmer's Market Warning
On Thursday afternoons, a portion of the parking lot and garage are reserved for the farmer's market. You will be towed if parked in those areas after 2pm. Trust us — it happened to Dr. Mordue at 2:02pm.

Directions to Our Office

Coming from Honolulu, Kaneohe, Waimanalo, or Hawaii Kai — here's how to find us at Lau Hala Shops in Kailua.

Via Pali Highway (HI-61)
From Honolulu & H-1
Take the Nuʻuanu Pali Highway (HI-61) northeast from Honolulu. Drive through the Pali Tunnels and descend into Kailua. Continue straight on Kailua Road into town — Lau Hala Shops will be on your right. Look for the former Macy's building.
Via H-3 Freeway
From H-3 & MCBH
Take H-3 east and exit onto Mokapu Blvd heading toward Kailua. Follow Mokapu Blvd as it becomes Kailua Road and continues into downtown. Lau Hala Shops will be on your left as you reach the town center.
Via Likelike Highway (HI-63)
From Kaneohe
From Kaneohe, take Kailua Road (HI-61) south toward Kailua town. Continue through the roundabout and follow Kailua Road until you reach Lau Hala Shops on your right. Alternatively, take Kahekili Highway (HI-83) south to connect with Kailua Road.
Via Kalanianaʻole Hwy (HI-72)
From Waimanalo & Hawaii Kai
Take Kalanianaʻole Highway (HI-72) north through Waimanalo toward Kailua. Turn left onto Kailua Road at the intersection heading into downtown. Lau Hala Shops will be on your right — Suite 106, next to Maui Brewing Company.

Yes. Lau Hala Shops has accessible parking stalls in the main lot. Our suite is on the ground floor with no stairs required. If you have specific accessibility needs, please call us ahead of your visit and we'll make sure everything is arranged for you.

Absolutely. While we're based in Kailua, we care for patients from all across O'ahu who are looking for personalized eye care and premium eyewear. We even have patients who travel from the neighbor islands to see us for their eye exams and glasses.
